The word Beryl comes from the ancient Greek, beryllos, meaning ‘a green stone’ but the family of beryl includes a wide range of colours green, blue, yellow, red, pink, and colourless
Green beryl is emerald
Blue beryl is aquamarine
Yellow beryl is helidor
Red beryl is bixbite and is extremely rare
Pink beryl is morganite
Colourless beryl is goshenite although it can be greenish-yellow or brown
Each beryl has it’s own individual characters and spcific healing properties.
